All I can think of is those cheesy months/holidays. like "January, Happy New Year, I'm Cold!... February, month of love, Valentines Day!... March, Spring is close, St. Patricks day!... April, Spring is here, EASTER!" Stuff like that. I am sure you can make something up. Make it colorful and if you have like 20 students you can add more than one sentence for the month and have them split it... or what ever.
One of my elementary schools did "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", Each student read a line. It was really cute. They all had colorful props.
Well if you want lots of colors and a few costumes I would go with a short play based on the book Brown bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?
You can incorporate crafts where each student makes a hat with the animal they play on it. With a bit of practice the lines could be memorized. I think it would be very cute if the acted like the animals as well.

Yeah I would think having them make a play based on something like Dr. Seuss or the Very Hungry Caterpillar would be good for that level.

"Where the wild things are"
by Maurice Sendak is what comes to mind
for me...
and you can get interesting in how to
present each of the "Wild Things"...
Just wondering if that is suitable though
