After teaching the kids vocab and going through some listening activities, this is a good worksheet for practicing giving and listening to directions!
There are two worksheets with different places missing on the map. The students must ask their partner how to get to three different places. They will listen to the directions and follow along on their map. When they think they know where the place is, they circle the letter. Then they answer the question about the location.
Notes:
It's a good idea to go through the example directions in front of the class with the JTE.
Good for eastern students, too heavily biased in this sense to be of use for me! (a good worksheet anyway, but too local - which is indeed a sign of good teaching to make it relevant to students!)
This is a really excellent worksheet! With a little modification it was perfect for both my ninensee learning directions and my English selection class (extra English help for third years) reviewing it. I spent about an hour changing some of the stores (i.e., I added a Mr. Donut) and some other things. The map itself is invaluable and while it wasn't hard to modify it, it would've been really hard to create it from scratch. Thank you so much and I plan to use it again next year!

This is great! I guess it's really up to the teacher to localize the shop's name for more relevance! Thanks for the great material!
